Well everyone, it seems as though we should all remove a dagger fromthe heart of Uwe for now at least. Assault on Wall Street comes forthwith none of the all too familiar flaws that most movie fans areaccustomed to with his work. Not only does this come across with goodcinematography, superb editing & a very effective score, but itdelivers many good acting performances by a cast made up mostly byactors who are normally not so effective.
Dominic Purcell(Prison Break) plays Jim, an armored car guard andloving husband to his wife Rosie, who happens to become seriously ill.This event starts a chain reaction of bad events in Jim's life, firsthis health insurance gets capped, days later he finds out his lifetimeinvestments are now gone due to crooked business practices. Now, unableto pay for the proper medical treatment for Rosie he embarks on adesperate mission to find a solution, only to be left alone withnothing but revenge on his mind.
This is such a common story here in the US which makes the film thatmuch more real to the audience. You'd be hard pressed to find a personthat hasn't either had a family member who has lost their retirement orknown someone who hasn't gotten screwed in some way by an unscrupulousinvestment company between 9/11 to date. This factor made the plot hithome in a very believable manner. Match that with good pacing and youhave yourself a pretty entertaining film to watch. --^--6.8/10--^--

Uwe Boll is known as one of the worst directors ever known to be in thefilm industry for making movies for big budgets and making absolutelynothing back from them.hes hated by all the directors in Hollywood andis mocked by people all over the world.his last few movies have beenuniversally panned by critics all of them adapted from popular videogames.after owners of well known game metal gear solid refused to sellthe rights to Uwe Boll because his history as a director.
i think he finally woke up and smelled the smoke because his latestfilm Assault on wall street is actually good.The film stars DominicPurcell and Erin Karpluk .the film starts as Jim a security guard foran armored truck who is struggling to pay for his ill wife who isrecovering from cancer and Jim must find ways to pay for his wife'streatment after his disastrous investment his stockbroker advised himto make.he soon looses everything he has and decides to take extrememeasures to get revenge on the rich and greedy people who got him intothe situation hes in.although the film starts off slow it somehowmanages to keep you interested and you sympathize with Jim and actuallystart to root for him even though you know what hes doing is wrong.itpicks up near the end and to be honest it impressed me even though UweBoll has gone really dark for this one.with a A+ performance by DominicPurcell and Erin Karpluk
this is a film Uwe Boll can actually be proud of and not have to worryabout being universally panned.many people will watch this movie andgive it a bad review just because of Uwe Boll past and because theyquite frankly don't like him or his methods but thats not what film isabout.the film is a huge improvement over his previous films and all ican say is Uwe Boll keep it up stay away from the video game adapt ionsand concentrate on your own work.now I'm not saying this film isamazing but it is a damn good film.6.5/10

There is a lot of truth in this movie. I do not care if you areDemocrat, Republican, Libertarian, or other, if you listen closely therants and the facts in the background of the movie should ring true. Weare all slaves to the system and also the "old money" described in oneof the later rants. However, remember that many middle or even highlevel employees and owners of Wall Street have no idea they work for acorrupt system.
I believe that the acting and atmosphere were solid, especially for alow budget movie. However, the movie was a bit romanticized andunrealistic.
I would recommend this movie to someone who is yearning for a betterunderstanding of politics, money in general, and who wants to also bemildly entertained. I would not recommend this movie to anyone whowatches for the sole purpose of being entertained, it cannot competewith other movies in terms of pure entertainment value.
